roomskk.com is the website for our home on Koh Kood. We are probably the largest Thai/Foreigner owned (Cherry Thai/Chris Australian) accommodation group on the island, based across from the beach and the popular sunset spot Huggy Beach Bar, in the central Klong Chao area of the island. We take care of a group of value accommodations, surrounded by upmarket resorts and also have several other properties across Koh Kood.

We came to Paradise Island Koh Kood in 2018 to manage Happy Days Guesthouse for Paradise Divers. At that time Koh Kood was less developed, and Happy Days was a small centre of castaway, easygoing foreigners among the larger luxury Thai resorts on the island at the time. Happy Days was very basic but we set up a new cleaner, government supplied water source and swapped the cold showers for hot showers. Over the years we have renovated but our places are still the same - a chilled adult atmosphere away from all the fuss (and cost) of the upmarket resorts.

In 2022 we took over what is now Chor Chaba and divided it into our Chor Chaba Rooms and Hill Station Hostel. Chor Chaba is stylish, slightly upmarket guest rooms while Hill Station Hostel, which is a shared dormitory and twin rooms, hopefully gives people an opportunity to stay in Klong Chao without the expense of the resorts, but still able to walk across the road to the beach.

Chor Chaba, Happy Days and Hill Station are mainly an adult experience but in 2026 we took over Pu Ya Deep Forest Home which is a family accommodation in a beautiful forest/mountain location. It gives families a chance to stay in a little village location in an idyllic mountain location at the end of the road(next stop Cambodia). Sometimes our adult guests like to hire the whole place for a party. Often guests stay with us at the beach then spend a few days at Pu Ya to get away from it all. It is slightly remote but you can always walk down the road a little, and use Jungle Resort's restaurant and pool. All guests there can also enjoy the facilities at Chor Chaba, including a shower after the beach.

Since we have a pool of available guests, and try to operate outside the major booking apps, locals often ask us to sell their rooms for them. We mainly book guests at the stylish modern bungalows at Chom Suan Farmstay (situated just behind Happy Days in the coconut plantation) but also have other rooms available across Koh Kood.

We are a member of the 12go reseller program and our tour agency, Klong Chao Tourism, can book tickets for you anywhere in Thailand and beyond. We also organise island tours, scuba and snorkelling, fishing and beach hopping trips.

I need to mention Cherry's wonderful restaurant at Chor Chaba. She cooks delicious Western and Thai food. Recently a guest made a TikTok video about her and it has had 1000's of views.(I need to work out how to add a link). In the past we have had trouble opening at night, since we are primarily an accommodation business, but this year we hope to extend our opening hours. Our restaurant also has a bar, pool table and guest lounge and international tv for sporting events( wifi permitting).

Since we arrived, choice of accommodations on Koh Kood have increased, as have room prices, but we have tried to keep to our original premise of value accommodation. We hope our guests can still enjoy the castaway island experience and take it easy and not worry about anything much at all. We do not make any pretence that we are a resort but try to give our guests clean comfortable rooms in the lowest price range in Klong Chao. We have seen many new hotels open up and, in our position across from the beach, we could try to change our humble home into an expensive, luxury resort, but we prefer to keep our present easygoing customers.
